My professional background ↗

I started my career in building surveying and moved into sustainability in 2010, when many businesses were only beginning to work out what it meant for them. Since then, I’ve worked with major companies across the UK, Europe, and with Vornado Realty and Public Storage in the US. I’m a generalist with a broad grounding in reporting, carbon and responsible procurement. That breadth helps me see how the pieces fit together and what they mean for the people doing the work.

Reporting is one of my strongest suits. I became known as the ‘queen of reporting’, and I still look back proudly at my work with Audley Group, Shurgard Self-Storage and Aroundtown. I enjoy getting into the detail and making it useful: clear tables, carefully explained evidence and reports people can actually navigate.

Mentoring sustainability leads is the part of my work I’m proudest of. I help people build confidence in their judgement, talk through difficult decisions and keep moving towards the goals they’ve set. Sometimes that means working through the detail together; sometimes it means listening, asking the right question and providing a little accountability.
