EVERGREEN ASSESSMENT · CAREERS & COLLABORATION

Good work.
Shared ownership.

I’ve built Evergreen Assessment around practical sustainability and climate resilience. I’d like to shape its next chapter with someone who wants to win good work, deliver it well and share in what we build.

Build togetherTowards shared ownership

SMALL TODAY. SOMETHING TO BUILD ON.

Let’s create the next opportunity.

Evergreen Assessment is my independent sustainability and climate resilience consultancy. My work helps organisations make sense of sustainability, prepare for climate risks and turn their commitments into practical action.

There is already client work and experience to build on. I’d like to bring together complementary strengths, develop a stronger offer and actively win work together.

What I bring

  • Sustainability and physical climate risk expertise.
  • Experience turning complex requirements into useful advice.
  • Client relationships, delivery experience and an established business.

What you might bring

  • Expertise that extends what we can offer clients.
  • Relationships, commercial confidence or a service we could develop.
  • The time and commitment to help win and deliver joint work.

A PROPOSED STARTING POINT

Paid work. A route to ownership.
A say in what comes next.

We would start small, be open about the finances and agree what each of us is putting in. Here is the arrangement I’d like to explore.

01

A bounded first step

A 90-day trial to develop and sell one joint offer. We agree a manageable weekly commitment and cap unpaid development time before we begin.

02

Paid client delivery

We agree project fees, payment for delivery and how winning work is recognised. This proposal does not include a guaranteed salary at the outset.

03

Ownership earned over time

We agree in writing the stake that could be earned, the contributions it recognises and the timetable. The percentage is something to work through together.

04

Shared responsibility and voice

We shape the offer, choose the work and review progress together. Decision-making, future membership and leaving arrangements form part of the ownership discussion.

These are proposed principles for a conversation. No equity allocation, employment offer or legal terms have been agreed.

WHAT I WANT US TO STAND FOR

Values you can see in the way we work.

We should be able to point to everyday choices that back up what we say.

Honest advice

Support claims with evidence, acknowledge uncertainty and challenge work that would mislead.

Fair shared work

Be open about money, recognise contributions and respect each other’s time and responsibilities.

Care for nature

Work remotely where practical, make equipment last and keep improving our own environmental impact.

Commercial responsibility

Help build a viable business through strong relationships, useful services and work delivered well.

BUILD EVERGREEN WITH ME

Find out by doing.

FIRST, TALK

See where we fit.

Compare our strengths, ambitions and availability. Be honest about what each of us needs.

THEN, TEST

Build one offer.

Speak to potential clients, develop a proposal and aim to win a paid pilot together.

AT 90 DAYS, REVIEW

Decide what’s next.

Review commercial evidence and how we work together, then decide whether to formalise a partnership.

A FEW PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before we talk.

Do I need to bring existing clients?

Relationships are valuable, but so are complementary skills and a useful new offer. What matters is a clear commitment to helping create and retain work together.

Could I keep my own consultancy or other work?

That is something I’m open to. We would need to agree availability, client boundaries, conflicts and what belongs to the joint business.

Is this already a shared-ownership business?

No. I currently own the business. This is an invitation to explore a route towards shared ownership, with details agreed before anyone relies on them.

How are you putting the environmental values into practice?

I work remotely first, buy second-hand equipment and volunteer locally with the National Trust. I’m also building the evidence for the business’s first footprint and reviewing areas such as banking and digital services. This is work in progress; I’m not claiming the business is net zero.

A CONVERSATION, TO BEGIN WITH

What could we build together?

Tell me what you do, what you would like to build and why this way of working appeals to you.

Start a conversation

No formal application needed for a first conversation.
